On Wednesday, September 16 and Thursday, September 17, hybrid students at Swansea Freshman Academy received their brand new HP Chromebooks during their English classes. Due to a delay in shipments from the manufacturer, students were given used Chromebooks at the beginning of school to tide them over until the shipment arrived. As students open their Chromebooks for the first time, they reacted like they would at Christmas.
“These are so new and the keys work so well,” said Brianna Torres. “I felt like a kid at Christmas.”
The students will use these Chromebooks for the next four years to complete work whether in the classroom or at home.
“It was very surprising because they are so nice, and the school gave them to us to use,” Anabelle Portigiano said.
The students also received new Bump Armor cases to help protect the Chromebooks from damage.
“It’s nice having something new to do all my school work on,” stated Edisto Rowe.
GT Booth and Alex Lucas give a thumbs up to the new Chromebooks.
