Lexington Four, in coordination with other Lexington County school districts, will transition to an eLearning day for all schools, Tuesday, January 9, 2024. After consultation with emergency management, the National Weather Service (NWS), and other Lexington County districts, we will transition to eLearning tomorrow (Tuesday, 1/9). The NWS is forecasting wind gusts in excess of 40 mph beginning tomorrow morning. State regulations prohibit operation of school buses in sustained winds greater than 30 mph or in gusts greater than 40 mph. Likewise, a line of strong thunderstorms is expected in the area mid-afternoon with very strong winds and a possibility of tornadoes. These storms would likely impact the district during dismissal time. Additional information will be sent home from your school and/or your child’s teacher(s) regarding eLearning instruction. Keep an eye out for these communications. Your child will need to complete their e-Learning assignments by next Tuesday (January 16) to be considered present for the eLearning day. Attached is the e-Learning menu for the Early Childhood Center. Your child should complete 5 things from this menu.
