On Friday, students in Mrs. Parks' class had their first ✨mystery reader✨ and it was none other than our principal, Mrs. Harrison-Young! 📚
Teachers on the green hall embraced the first day of fall with pumpkin shirts!
This week in PE, students have been busy leveling up and practicing locomotor skills on a Super Mario obstacle course and a virtual Mario Kart adventure!
Next week we will be celebrating Swansea High School's Homecoming Week with themed spirit days!

Ahoy mateys! In honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day, Ms. Erin and Mrs. Corbitt's class made their own pirate hats, gained a new pirate name, read a pirate book, and learned how to greet their friends like a pirate!
We practiced our first fire drill of the school year today! The 3K students in Mrs. Tracy's class did a great job with today's drill. Afterwards, they made their own fire hats!
We would like to spotlight our first Students of the Month! These students have been nominated by their teachers for showcasing our district motto of "Lead, Learn, Serve, Excel." Congratulations to these Early Risers!
Congratulations to Tracy Campbell for being recognized as our Teacher of the Month and to Madison Young for being recognized as our Support Staff Member of the Month!
"Ms. Campbell has been very busy this year transitioning to teach 3K only. She has worked very hard with many teachers around the building to provide support during these first few days (when her students haven't been present). She and the 3K only team have worked hard to complete assessments for their students and others at the ECC!"

This week students in Mrs. Satterfield's class read the classic story, The Rainbow Fish. Along with learning about friendship, students created their own Rainbow Fish pieces of art! Students tack punched the fish, decorated it with scales and eyes, watercolor painted an ocean background, and glued the fish in the ocean. We love these art pieces these Early Risers worked so hard on this week!
