Listening: Monday, 2/5 - Tuesday, 2/6
Reading: Wednesday, 2/7 - Thursday, 2/8
Writing: Monday, 2/12 - Tuesday, 2/13
Speaking: Wednesday, 2/14 - Tuesday, 2/28
This assessment is for students whose second language is English.

On Friday, students toured the Midlands Tech campus and learned about the Building Construction Technology, Surgical Technology, and Radiologic Technology programs.










Saturday School - January 27 (8 A.M. - 1 P.M.)
Attendance Recovery -- Students must attend 170 out of 180 days. If a student misses more than 10 days, the student must recover attendance. Saturday School allows a student to recover 10 classes.
Quarter Recovery -- Students may recover assignments from 1st or 2nd quarter if they earned a failing grade. Students will have earned a 60 for the final quarter grade upon recovery completion.
Tutoring -- Students who have no quarter recovery will have time to focus on summative and formative assessments they have missed this quarter.


We were excited to welcome Coach Willie Fox yesterday as he addressed the Swansea Tiger football team as the new head coach of the Tigers! Let's go Tigers!

Students in English participated in a Vocabulary Run to practice their most missed vocabulary words for their cumulative test this Friday. Here's to learning 100 new words so far this year!










Students in Earth Science participated in the Yeast fermentation lab. We love lab days!

SHS Registration Night will be held February 1st at 6:00pm!
We will start in the commons area then students/parents will choose their breakout sessions. Students will not be registering for classes. This is an information night only. Any questions please contact Ms. Lackey or Ms. Williams.
