Congratulations to our Instructional Staff Member of the Month -- Luis Solorzano!

Our Junior Miss Swansean contestants had the privilege of attending the 1st annual Miss Swansean Royal Tea, sponsored by the Miss Swansean and Miss Sandhills Queens, with special help from Ms. Sheila Parkman, Ms. Vickie Jeffcoat-Hayes, and Ms. Cindy Dibble. What a great opportunity for our students to be role models and examples for the younger generations!

Save the Date!

We appreciate everyone coming out to support our Beta Club students and their Fall Festival and Haunted Hallways.

We are very proud of our students in this week's newsletter. They have demonstrated what it means to lead, learn, serve, and excel.

On Friday, November 10, SFA invites our students’ grandparents and parents/guardians, who are veterans to join us for refreshments.

Please join the SFA Beta Club on Monday, October 30 for a Fall Festival. Free entrance to the trunk or treats and games. Entrance to the Haunted Hallways -- $2.

Come out and support our students.

What makes learning science more fun? Using Skittles in a lab, of course!
Students in Earth Science used Skittles to learn about the half-life of radioactive elements. From the activity, students learned how elements decay and how scientists can use half-life to give an approximate age to Earth and other objects.
