The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) is working with your school district to provide
flu vaccines at your child’s school this fall. This year DPH is offering both the flu shot and the flu nasal
spray. It is important that all children get vaccinated every year.
There will be no cost to you or your child for the flu vaccine/nasal spray at school. If applicable,
payment from Medicaid will be made to DPH on your behalf.
If you would like your child to get a flu vaccine or flu nasal spray at school:
1. Go to https://apps.dhec.sc.gov/health/SCIAPPS/Public/SLVCValidate using your smartphone,
computer or tablet or scan the QR code with your smartphone to access the link.
2. Then, enter [ 13204037] as your validation code.
If your child does not receive the flu vaccine or flu nasal spray at school, please contact your child’s
healthcare provider or health department to get the flu vaccine or nasal spray.

Today, all English students presented their Public Service Announcement Videos to a panel of judges from the community, SDE, and the SHS Teacher Cadets. They chose a topic that they felt teenagers needed to be informed about and challenged them to make a change. We are so proud of our students, and they work they did to successfully present their projects.
Today our staff enjoyed a cook-off to celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays. Congratulations to Ms. Peacita for the best soup and Ms. Nicholas for the best dessert!!!

We want to cordially invite you to the 2nd annual Junior Miss Swansean Pageant, sponsored by the SHFA Beta Club, tomorrow at 6 pm. We are excited to welcome 15 sixth graders to our pageant. All Lexington 4 employees get in free with their ID. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Swansea High School Winterguard Auditions are coming up!
We’re looking for students from grades 8-12 who want to be part of our award-winning team. No experience is required, just a willingness to learn and have fun!!!

Time: 4 PM - 6 PM
