District officials continue to monitor road conditions across the district and have identified isolated issues on several secondary and dirt roads. In addition, the National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures well below freezing again tomorrow morning.
As a result, schools will operate on a two-hour delay to allow buses, parents, staff, and students to travel during daylight hours for increased visibility of road conditions.
All school operations will be delayed by two hours, including transportation services. Students and staff should report to their schools two hours later than their usual start time. All schools will follow a normal schedule for the remainder of the day.

A winter storm warning for the area continues through Sunday morning with the potential for a significant accumulation of snow. Very cold temperatures are expected overnight Sunday into Monday which will freeze any remaining surface water. The National Weather Service forecasts that travel conditions will likely remain hazardous through Monday mid-morning. Lexington 4 is making a decision today in order to give families additional time to prepare.
Expect additional communication from your school and your child's teacher(s) with details about e-Learning instruction. Please watch for these updates. To be marked present for the e-Learning day, your child must complete all assignments by Friday, February 6.
All weekend activities are canceled. Also, afterschool activities and athletics are cancelled for Monday.

Our Multilingual Learners will be participating in WIDA ACCESS testing during the dates listed below. This assessment helps us measure students’ growth in listening, reading, writing, and speaking English and supports us in planning instruction that best meets their needs.

“The time is always right to do what is right.”
— Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
We honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by reflecting on his vision of equality, justice, and service, and by encouraging our students to stand up for others and make positive choices.
📅 Reminder: There is no school on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

We’re excited to welcome our students back to campus on Tuesday, January 6!
Reminder: Our instructional day begins at 7:40 AM, so please plan to arrive on time and ready to start strong!
We can’t wait to kick off the new semester together! See you soon!

Our 7th and 8th grade chorus spent today caroling for our teachers, filling the day with festive music and seasonal spirit. Students also shared handwritten thank-you notes to show their appreciation.
Great job, everyone! And thank you to Mr. Chesnutt for making it all happen. 💜🐯

We’re ending the semester with school spirit and good energy before Winter Break!
