The Swansea Freshman Academy travelled to Myrtle Beach this weekend to complete in the SC State Beta Convention! We are so proud of these students as they used their talents to lead, learn, serve and excel. Congratulations again to Bella Johnson who placed 1st in 9th grade US History and is eligible to compete at Nationals this summer in Orlando!

On Wednesday of last week, Dr. Brown, our Personal Finance teacher, received a $1000 grant for instructional materials through USC and Colonial Life that will promote interactive opportunities for students! Dr. Brown voluntarily went through an extensive grant writing process to receive such a honor! Can't wait to see the materials put into action!

Congratulations to Anabella Johnson who placed first in 9th grade U.S. History at the SC State Beta Convention! Way to go! We are so proud of you!

Happy School Counselors Week to our very own, Ms. Young!! We are so thankful for the hard work and dedication she puts in daily to meet the needs of our students! Thank you for all you do!

It's National School Counseling Week! School Counselors are focused on seeing students THRIVE - academically, emotionally, socially, and futuristically. School counseling professionals help students understand and embrace their strengths and passions. They assist students with career and education exploration, and provide resources to help them prepare for their futures. Let's give a shout-out to our outstanding School Counselor -- Angela Young

Today starts blind date with a book here at SHFA! Ms. Raulerson is ready and our students are excited to pick their books!
