The National Weather Service is forecasting a significant chance of severe weather during our regular morning transportation window tomorrow. The timing of the storm is expected to allow for students and staff to proceed safely after a 2-hour delay. We will continue to monitor the forecast and conditions overnight and into the morning, and will communicate any further changes if necessary.

Important Reminders: Friday, Feb. 14th is a Teacher Professional Day/No School for Students. However, Monday, Feb. 17th. Schools are In-Session/Inclement Weather Make-Up Day (from Jan. 22).

All Lexington Four schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for Friday, January 24, 2025.
District officials have been monitoring road conditions across the district, and there continue to be isolated, but significant, issues on secondary roads. The National Weather Service is also forecasting temperatures well below freezing again tomorrow morning. As a result, schools will operate on a 2-hour delay to give buses, parents, staff, and students the opportunity to begin their drives during daylight hours.
Students and staff should report to their schools two hours later than usual, and the remainder of the day will proceed on normal schedule.

All Lexington Four schools and the district office will be closed, Thursday, January 23, 2025.
The National Weather Service reports that nearly two inches of snow have fallen across the district overnight. Temperatures will stay below freezing today, with lows expected in the mid-teens tomorrow morning. The SC Department of Transportation is actively working to clear primary roads, but reports that some secondary roads will remain untreated today. Any remaining water or snow will freeze hard overnight, creating hazardous conditions that are unlikely to improve until at least midday.
As of today, the district has utilized all five e-Learning days authorized by state law. Therefore, tomorrow’s closure will require an in-person make-up day, scheduled for Monday, February 17, 2025.
All afterschool activities and athletics are canceled for tomorrow.

Lexington Four will transition to an eLearning day for all schools, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Overnight, the forecast for winter weather has intensified, and hazardous conditions are expected tomorrow morning. These conditions will likely persist throughout the day, making it unsafe for normal school operations.
Expect additional communication from your school and your child's teacher(s) with details about e-Learning instruction. Please watch for these updates. To be marked present for the e-Learning day, your child must complete all assignments by Wednesday, January 29.

EARLY DISMISSAL - Tuesday 1/21/2025
Lexington Four, in coordination with other Lexington County school districts, will transition to early dismissal for all schools, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21, 2025. We will continue to monitor forecasts and conditions for any necessary changes to school operations for Wednesday.
A chance for winter weather exists for tomorrow afternoon. To provide time for buses, students, and staff to safely complete their afternoon travel before the arrival of winter weather, schools will follow the normal half-day schedule listed below for Tuesday.
Breakfast and lunch will be served.
Additionally, all afterschool activities, daycare, and athletics are canceled for tomorrow.

Lexington Four will provide a hot lunch for students 18 years old and younger, tomorrow, October 1, 2024 from 11:30 am - 1 pm. Lunch will be provided at SPES and FMIS in the parent drop-off/pickup lane, and in the SHS parking lot near the Performing Arts Center.

Students return to in-session learning on Wednesday, October 2nd with a 2-hour delay. Staff and students will report to school 2 hours later than their normal start time. We expect transportation delays and recommend that parents drop off/pickup if possible.

Lexington Four will be closed, Monday, September, 30, 2024. Hazardous road conditions and power outages continue across the district and county. Additional time is needed for recovery efforts to safely support school operations. Another update will be provided tomorrow afternoon.
All schools and offices will be closed, and all after school activities are canceled.
