Benefits Information
Full-time employees of Lexington School District Four have the opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefits for themselves and their families. The South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
In addition to state benefits, the district offers voluntary benefits to employees, such as short-term disability, universal life, accident, hospitalization, cancer, and critical illness insurance policies. Employees have the opportunity to enroll when they begin employment and each year during open enrollment time.
PEBA also administers the South Carolina Retirement Systems and State Optional Retirement Program. Employees must sign up for one of these programs when they begin employment. There are other ways to save for the future as well, including investment with SC Deferred Compensation or any of our designated 403(b) providers.
